Industrial Maintenance Technician (Injection Molding)

We are looking for a skilled
Industrial Maintenance Technician
to join our high-performance Production/Manufacturing team in Waller, TX. This is a great opportunity to work with advanced injection molding machinery and industrial equipment in a clean, safety-focused, and team-oriented environment.
This role is for the night shift with a 3-on/3-off schedule, and overtime opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities: Set up, start, and operate injection molding machines according to approved work instructions. Install and remove molds/dies using cranes or hoists, ensuring proper alignment and clamping. Select, install, and adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, injection speed, cooling time). Conduct tool changeovers and prepare for new production runs. Troubleshoot and resolve molding issues (flash, short shots, splay, warping, sink marks). Perform in-process quality inspections and monitor part dimensions. Adjust process parameters to maintain consistency and reduce scrap. Perform visual inspections, first-article checks, and dimensional verification using calipers, micrometers, or other gauges. Maintain quality documentation (startup checklists, SPC charts, deviation logs). Conduct preventive maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment (dryers, chillers, conveyors). Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems (basic PLC knowledge a plus). Clean molds and platens; apply rust inhibitors when needed. Load raw materials and maintain hopper levels during runs. Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE compliance.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in plastics or manufacturing preferred. 2+ years of experience in injection molding setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong understanding of molding processes, tooling, materials, and auxiliary equipment. Mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools, torque wrenches, and gauges. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Basic computer skills for ERP or MES data entry. Forklift certification a plus.
