TCL is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Drayage Analyst to support the execution and optimization of our domestic container transportation operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of freight between ports, rail yards, and distribution centers. The ideal candidate will bring a data-driven approach to drayage management, along with strong communication and coordination skills to support internal teams and external partners.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Monitor and analyze short-haul container movements to identify delays, inefficiencies, or cost drivers

Track and report container dwell times, demurrage/detention charges, and yard activities

Evaluate drayage carrier performance and recommend process or vendor improvements

Maintain transportation dashboards and KPIs to support visibility and continuous improvement

Investigate freight charges, resolve invoice discrepancies, and ensure vendor compliance

Collaborate with port authorities, carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and 3PL providers to streamline operations

Coordinate container pickups and deliveries to reduce fees and improve cycle times

Support the use of TMS, port platforms, and Excel to manage and track shipments

Assist with the implementation of tools and systems that improve drayage planning and execution

Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international transportation regulations

Maintain accurate records and shipping documentation, including BOLs, delivery orders, and PODs

Qualification/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred)

1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or drayage operations

Familiarity with port operations, containerized shipping, and customs processes is a plus

Proficiency in Excel and TMS software; experience with dashboards or reporting tools is a plus

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross-functionally

Preferred Experience:

Experience coordinating freight at major ports (e.g., LA/LB, NY/NJ, Savannah)

Understanding of import/export documentation, Incoterms, and compliance requirements

Familiarity with EDI, API, or other logistics tech platforms
