Pay Information $1,441 per week
About The Position Job Title: Inpatient Social Worker Profession: Social Worker Specialty: - Duration: 18 Weeks Shift: Rotating Schedule Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: 2-3 years of social work experience License: Current Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Certifications: Master's from an accredited school of social work Must-Have: - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective social work care plans. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional social work services. - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Description: The Social Worker works with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team in developing and managing treatment plans. Serves as a liaison regarding patient care and needs between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access to clinical treatment. Provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients. Services include bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education, and group therapy. Social Workers provide individual, conjoint, group, and family psychotherapy, in addition to crisis intervention services as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. Social workers also serve on designated committees and, if qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work. Candidates will be required to have weekend availability as there are staffing gaps that need addressing. Experience with multidisciplinary teams is essential. Ability to perform intake assessments is required. Experience leading groups and charting in an EMR system is needed. Preferred experience includes discharge planning experience. This position involves working in a unit with an average caseload of 4-8 patients, depending upon current census.
