About The Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 17:30 - 06:00 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must have valid state license in hand to be submitted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NBRC Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted Local candidates accepted Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required Description: The role involves working in Adult ICU settings. Responsibilities include airway management and medication administration. Ventilator management, including BiPAP and CPAP, is a key component of the position. Candidates should have experience with ABGs, O2 therapy, suctioning, and pulmonary toileting. Other duties include nebulizer treatments, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning patients from mechanical ventilation. Preferred skills include working in trauma settings and operating bronchoscopes. Familiarity with documentation systems such as Cerner is advantageous. Special equipment experience includes using Hamilton G5 and Philips V60 ventilators. COVID and flu vaccinations are required for employment. The position has a primary focus on general care and adult intensive care patient diagnoses. Candidates should demonstrate competency in adult critical care techniques and respiratory care protocols.
