A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Hartford, CT, to focus on civil litigation. The role involves handling complex cases in areas such as insurance defense, professional liability, construction, employment, medical malpractice defense, and long-term care.
Duties
Manage caseload from inception to conclusion. Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials. Engage with clients, experts, and attorneys to develop litigation strategies. Conduct legal research and write memoranda. Communicate case status updates to clients. Requirements
3 to 8 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense. Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions. Strong legal research and discovery response skills. Effective communication and prioritization abilities. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications
Admission to the Connecticut State Bar or adequate UBE score for jurisdiction admission. Skills
