Job Description Oracle / APEX Developer (15.23) OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm supporting Federal Government clients. We offer services in Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition / Procurement, and Information Technology. Responsibilities and Duties We are seeking an Oracle / APEX Developer to work with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The developer will support the FBI by maintaining, supporting, and enhancing applications, systems, or infrastructure with existing or emerging technologies. Daily responsibilities include: Developing and testing solutions to improve budget and procurement integration. Assisting with annual budget loads, CR adjustments, and special budget needs. Troubleshooting, resolving, and mitigating technical issues. Designing and maintaining system architecture, including database structures. Developing and optimizing application functions. Building dynamic web applications using Oracle APEX. Conducting testing, system demonstrations, and training. Managing the production database and addressing system errors. Creating prototypes to demonstrate new features. Collaborating with SMEs to enhance system capabilities and improve financial management for the FBI. Qualifications / Requirements Must be a US Citizen. Must hold an active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. At least 5 years of experience with Oracle Application Express (version 5.1 or higher). Knowledge of Oracle DDL syntax and PL/SQL. Experience with Agile development methodology. Experience in application development, testing, and troubleshooting. Proven ability to design data-driven web applications. Experience with testing, debugging, and validation. Ability to support demonstrations, training, and documentation. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work with SMEs, stakeholders, and technical teams to define and implement solutions. Primary work location will be at FBI facilities in the Washington Metropolitan Area / National Capital Region. $130,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience and education.
