R&D Scientist
based at our headquarters in Kirkland near Seattle. The role involves contributing to the development of the world's best electron microscopes, engaging in new technology development, implementation at customer sites, and training users. Responsibilities Operate, troubleshoot, and design complex scientific apparatus Maximize instrument performance Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop new instrumentation Write reports and present findings Stay updated with advancements in instrumentation Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Identify and work on instrument improvements Ensure safety and maintain laboratory equipment Conduct research and experiments Travel as needed and train others Qualifications Recent Ph.D. in physics or related field Strong communication skills Willingness to travel Experience with electron microscopes is a plus We Offer Stimulating, informal work environment prioritizing good science Collaboration with top electron microscopy experts Growth opportunities Beautiful living environment with mountains and sea Competitive salary between $101,700 and $160,000, with room for growth
