Team Overview: The Silicon Quality Assurance team is dedicated to ensuring product quality, developing and implementing quality standards, conducting tests and inspections, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The team also focuses on process improvement, creating training materials, and collaborating with other departments to promote quality best practices throughout the company. What You Will Do: Review and assess RMA and customer complaints. Perform 8D root cause and failure analysis. Review and disposition Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR). Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as quality, tech support, sales, product management, and field application engineers to ensure timely resolution of customer issues and complaints. Conduct performance testing, troubleshooting, and validation for RFID tags across diverse use cases and industries, including Reelsurance, THT (Temperature Humidity Test), TCT (Temperature Cycling Test) oven, and Bendurance. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to verify compliance with standards such as RoHS, REACH, PFAS, TSCA, Conflict Mineral, CA Prop 65, and EU POP. Lead quality-related customer complaints and support customer-facing documentation. Conduct failure and root cause analysis utilizing methodologies including 8D, CAPA, CAR, DMAIC, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and 5-Whys. Perform failure analysis using material analysis techniques such as FIB (Focused Ion Beam), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), and EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy). Proficient in using Keyence microscopes and digital optical comparators. Plan and manage compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external quality, regulatory, and standards requirements. Develop processes and test procedures to determine appropriate quality control analyses during the development of new models. Coordinate and follow up with other departments on root cause analysis and problem solving for new models. Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement programs with subcontractors for new model development. Perform reliability studies on all measuring/testing equipment used in production, in accordance with MSA standards. What You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or 5+ years related experience. Experience in a fast-paced high-volume semiconductor RFID chip manufacturing environment. Knowledge of ISO-9001 Quality Management System and ISO-14001 (EMS). Experience with technical documents, product application notes, videos, and sample code. Ability to define and deliver training programs, technical documentation, and development support. Knowledge of quality tools such as control charts, histograms, Pareto charts, scatter diagrams, and fishbone diagrams. Strong background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE). Experience with statistical tools such as JMP or Mini Tab for data analysis. Basic scripting skills (JMP, Python, etc.) to automate testing, data analysis, and validation of RFID performance. Compensation & Benefits: This is a 6-month contract position with the potential to convert to full-time. The typical pay range in the US is
$50-60/hr.
