We’re seeking an experienced
Senior UX Designer
to lead the creation of exceptional, user-focused experiences for TEA’s applications and websites. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of education technology by designing intuitive, accessible solutions that empower teachers, students, parents, and administrators. You’ll work with minimal supervision, applying strong judgment, creativity, and leadership to ensure TEA’s solutions meet the highest UX/UI standards. What You’ll Do Lead UX/UI design efforts, ensuring best practices and accessibility compliance. Translate research into user stories, flows, wireframes, and prototypes. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and leadership on design strategies. Conduct usability testing and user outreach to refine products. Maintain a consistent, user-centric approach across all projects. Must-Have Experience 8+ years in software product development, UX/UI design, or digital design Strong experience in wireframing, mockups, and prototyping (Figma or similar) Proven track record in user and usability research Experience leading large-scale UX/UI projects Knowledge of federal accessibility guidelines (WCAG/Section 508 compliance) Strong writing, communication, and facilitation skills Portfolio showcasing user research, visual design, and usability work Preferred Experience Jira or similar issue-tracking software Experience with TEA or other state/local education agencies Seniority level
