Position:

CastleOak's equity trading team consists of highly motivated and seasoned professionals with strong institutional relationships and a relentless focus on growth. We provide comprehensive trading capabilities, including algorithmic, high-touch, and program trading across domestic and global markets, operating 24/6 to meet client needs.

We are seeking a senior-level equity sales trader with deep global electronic trading expertise and a proven ability to sell algorithmic strategies and liquidity solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong rolodex of institutional clients actively engaged in electronic trading, a robust understanding of U.S. market structure, and familiarity with international equity markets and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Leverage a book of institutional electronic trading relationships to drive revenue and onboard new accounts. Act as a trusted advisor to clients on execution strategy, liquidity sourcing, and algorithmic optimization across global markets. Proactively sell CastleOak's electronic and algo trading suite, articulating differentiated performance and routing logic. Possess expert-level knowledge of U.S. equity market structure, including order types, venues (ATS/exchanges), dark pool dynamics, and regulatory considerations. Demonstrate familiarity with international markets, including T+ settlement cycles, local microstructure, and cross-border order handling. Provide pre- and post-trade analysis to clients, including VWAP, arrival price, and venue markout commentary. Collaborate with client trading & quant teams to offer client feedback that enhances algorithmic trading performance and platform features. Deliver real-time market color, execution insights, and high-touch coverage when needed. Ensure all activity is compliant, well-documented, and adheres to risk and regulatory controls. Work cross-functionally with operations, compliance, and technology to ensure a seamless client experience.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of equity trading or electronic sales trading experience Demonstrated ability to generate revenue through electronic trading client coverage In-depth expertise in U.S. equity market structure and global trading protocols Strong sales skills with a history of institutional client acquisition and retention Familiarity with industry-leading EMS/OMS platforms and algorithmic providers FINRA Series 7 & 63 required, Series 55 & 24 a plus Excellent communication and analytical skills High integrity and disciplined approach to compliance and client service

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience launching or scaling electronic trading platforms MBA or other graduate degrees are a plus

Compensation:

Base Salary: $150K–$200K, commensurate with experience Performance-based bonus

Location:

New York, NY (Hybrid: Minimum 3 days in-office per week)
