Were looking for a Technical Architect to design, govern, and guide delivery of cloud-native, Salesforce-first, AI-enabled solutions across our Revenue (Q2C) and eCommerce landscape. You will be the technical authority partnering with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Engineers, and Business leaders to ensure architectures are secure, performant, observable, and cost-efficient; and that they align to DETs target state architecture, standards, and roadmap.
This role requires deep hands-on expertise with the Salesforce platform (RLM/CPQ, Sales/Service/Experience/Commerce Clouds, Data Cloud, Einstein/Agentforce), API & event-driven integration (MuleSoft, Kafka), modern front-end patterns, and GenAI/ML enablement, coupled with the ability to mentor engineers, codify best practices, and influence at scale. We are also looking for strong experience in building and architecting AWS services to support scalable and reliable enterprise applications.
What Youll Do
Architecture, Design & Delivery Own end-to-end technical architecture for large, multi-cloud Salesforce initiatives spanning Quote-to-Cash, Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM), Order Management, Contracts & Assets, Pricing, Approvals, DocGen/eSign, and Internationalization/Multi?Currency. Translate business capabilities into current/future-state architectures, reference architectures, sequence diagrams, integration contracts, and non-functional requirements (availability, performance, DR, observability, compliance). Drive API-first and event-driven patterns using MuleSoft, Kafka/EventBridge (or equivalent), platform events, Change Data Capture, and well-defined domain boundaries. Champion secure-by-design principles: SSO, OAuth/JWT, data classification & encryption, Shield, key management, and zero-trust patterns. Design and implement scalable AWS services including Lambda, S3, ECS, API Gateway, CloudFormation, and more to support extensible and cloud-native architecture patterns. Q2C, Revenue & eCommerce Domain Expertise Architect scalable, configurable solutions across RLM / CPQ, Order Management, Billing/ERP integrations, Revenue Recognition, and pricing/discounting engines. Ensure seamless data & process orchestration between Salesforce, ERP, billing, finance, and eCommerce platforms (Salesforce B2C/B2B Commerce, headless APIs, composable storefronts). Establish guardrails for customization vs. product capability (RLM/RLM rules, managed packages) and create roadmaps to move customizations to product-first approaches. AI / GenAI & Data Partner with the AI/Architecture councils to embed AI responsibly: leverage Einstein, Agentforce, LLMs (RAG, prompt engineering, safety/guardrails), and Data Cloud for segmentation, personalization, forecasting, and agentic automation. Define ML/GenAI architectural patterns (training, inference, feature stores, observability, bias & drift monitoring) and integration to our Trust Layer, governance, and compliance frameworks. Evaluate model/platform choices (open/closed-source LLMs, Vertex/SageMaker, internal platforms) against cost, latency, scale, privacy, and IP protection. Engineering Excellence, Observability & Governance Codify architectural standards, reference implementations, design patterns, quality gates, and CICD/DevSecOps practices for Salesforce & integration stacks. Ensure observability is first-class: structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics/SLIs/SLOs, automated alerts, and runbooks (reliability engineering mindset). Lead/participate in Enterprise review boards, design Reviews, technical assessments, and risk management; drive tech debt remediation and platform modernization. Leadership, Mentorship & Community Mentor developers and junior architects, raising the bar on engineering rigor, code quality, test automation, and performance. Serve as a trusted advisor to product, delivery, and business stakeholders; communicate complex concepts with clarity to both hands-on engineers and executives. Contribute to the architecture community of practice; publish patterns, reusable components, accelerators, and run internal enablement sessions.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of relevant engineering/architecture experience; 3+ years in a lead/architect capacity. Deep hands-on expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem: RLM/CPQ, Sales/Service/Experience/Commerce Clouds, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Platform Events, Data Cloud, and MuleSoft. Proven delivery of mission-critical, high-volume integrations (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, event streaming with Kafka/RabbitMQ/EventBridge). Strong grounding in enterprise architecture domains (business, data, integration, security, infrastructure) and NFRs/operability. Experience implementing AI/ML or GenAI workloads (LLMs, inference pipelines, cost/perf tradeoffs, safety & governance) or strong willingness and demonstrable aptitude to ramp quickly. Proficiency in one or more of: Java, Apex, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript; strong understanding of OO patterns, testing strategies, and CICD. Demonstrated experience with eCommerce architectures (SF B2C/B2B Commerce, headless APIs, composable architectures) and their integration with Q2C/Revenue stacks. Excellent communicator; able to craft clear architecture narratives, diagrams, and executive-ready materials. Strong experience designing and building AWS services and infrastructure components, including hands-on work with serverless patterns, containerization, networking, security, and IAC. A related technical degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architect, Data Architect, Development Lifecycle & Deployment Architect; CTA a plus. Experience with observability stacks (New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, OpenTelemetry) and SRE practices. Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks, RAG patterns, vector databases, and prompt/retrieval evaluation. Familiarity with governance & compliance for AI (data privacy, model risk management, auditability). Knowledge of modern front-end architectures (LWC, React, micro frontends) and performance optimization at scale. Experience with Data Cloud, data modeling, and analytics/feature engineering for AI use cases. AWS Solution Architect certification or equivalent cloud architecture credentials preferred.
