JOB DESCRIPTION SME Oracle APEX Developer on the ESA V program. The ideal candidate will be personable and articulate, focusing on meeting the customer's needs quickly and effectively. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of working with limited supervision. Excellent communication skills are required to interface effectively with customers, understand requirements and mission needs, and translate them into actions. This position requires onsite presence 5 days a week in the Washington, DC metro area at one of the primary customer (CRM) locations. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Typically requires a BS degree and 12–15 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 10–13 years of relevant experience. A Doctorate in a technical domain may also be considered. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience with secure network programming in an Oracle environment, including security certificates, HTTPS callouts, etc. Experience with full lifecycle development of custom Oracle Applications, including the Oracle APEX toolset. Experience with Oracle Integrated Development Environments such as Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer. Experience with jQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Experience with PL/SQL, Java, Windows PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting, with familiarity with built-in PLSQL packages and procedures. Experience with storage, retrieval, and manipulation of unstructured data (BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType) in an Oracle environment. Primary Responsibilities Support the full lifecycle development of custom Oracle Applications, primarily using Oracle APEX, under the direction of the program manager. Perform advanced development with Oracle APEX 21 and above. Utilize Oracle IDEs such as Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer. Design and manipulate web content dynamically using jQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Create dynamic reports within Oracle APEX and support Oracle Database products version 11 and above. Support Oracle database objects—tables, indexes, directories, sequences, triggers, etc. Provide support with PL/SQL, Java, Windows PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting, including built-in packages and procedures. Handle storage, retrieval, and manipulation of unstructured data (BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType). Integrate and manage BI Publisher templates and web services. Analyze existing Oracle Forms applications and develop migration strategies to scalable and secure web applications using Oracle APEX. Develop APIs and connections to external applications. Deliver enterprise-level workflow-centric applications. Build logical functions and algorithms to automate business processes. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle Database version 11 and above. Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports version 10G or higher. Experience with Oracle APEX 4.0 and above. Experience troubleshooting operational issues. Government contracting experience, particularly with the DOJ. Current DOJ Clearance.
