The Accounting Associate will be part of the PEAK6 Accounting team, responsible for maintaining and improving accounting and finance processes. Key duties include owning month-end close processes, posting and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing monthly financial statements, analyzing revenues and expenses, managing accounts receivables, approving vendor bills and expense reports, providing analytical management reporting, developing budgets and forecasts, preparing monthly reporting packages for business leaders, driving continuous improvement in financial accounting processes, ensuring efficient design and application of controls, working independently and in teams, and assisting with monthly consolidations and year-end audits. The role requires 2+ years of accounting and finance experience, a tech-forward approach, ability to navigate ambiguity, ownership of projects, adaptability in a dynamic environment, strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with NetSuite and Adaptive Insights is a plus. The position offers a hybrid work model with up to two days remote per week and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, PTO, 401k match, parental leave, HSA contributions, and learning reimbursement.
