Mechanical Engineer — MEP Design & Consulting San Jose, CA || On-site only || Full-time Design high-efficiency building systems for a respected MEPF consultancy with a reputation for technical excellence, constructible solutions, and long-term client relationships. This role is ideal for a mechanical engineer with 2–7 years of experience in HVAC and building systems design who thrives in a collaborative, cross-discipline environment. You’ll contribute to projects ranging from data centers and labs to commercial offices and high-rise residential — with mentorship and growth built into the culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design HVAC and hydronic piping systems, including load calculations, layout, and equipment selection. Use Revit and AutoCAD to develop coordinated models and construction documents. Collaborate closely with electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams for fully integrated designs. Support project schedules, budgets, and quality standards while meeting client requirements. Stay current on evolving codes, energy standards, and design best practices. WHAT YOU BRING Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 2–7 years of mechanical engineering experience in an MEP or building systems consulting environment. Proficiency in Revit; experience with energy modeling or CFD software a plus. Strong grasp of HVAC design principles, codes, and standards.
