Job Description

Statkraft is the largest generator of renewable energy in Europe and actively participates in US environmental commodities markets. The US team manages a portfolio of third-party renewable energy contracts, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and long-term sales contracts with major customers and trading partners. The team is expanding into the US power and renewables markets, specifically PJM & ERCOT, handling origination, pricing, structuring, and portfolio management of bilateral power and REC deals.

The Environmental Products Quantitative Analyst will:

Design and implement analytical tools to monitor environmental product portfolios for real-time insights.

Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Originators to develop scalable solutions supporting trade decisions.

Build data pipelines for real-time risk analytics and PnL tracking.

Extract market data insights to drive trade ideas.

Identify automation and performance optimization opportunities within internal platforms.

Stay updated on environmental market developments and apply quantitative techniques for pricing and strategy.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a quantitative role.

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.

Proficiency in Python and experience in building tools from database design to front-end development.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing business decisions with data.

Strong analytical skills and interest in energy markets, renewables, algorithms, and data science.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills to explain complex issues clearly.

Prior finance or energy experience is not required. Silicon Valley/Tech industry talent is encouraged to apply.
