Job Title: Senior SAP IBP Functional Consultant

Duration: Contract

Experience: 12+ years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Functional Consultant with deep domain expertise in supply chain planning for healthcare manufacturing. The consultant will lead end-to-end SAP implementation activities, bringing extensive knowledge of planning processes, demand forecasting, and supply optimization in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Implementation Leadership:

Lead multiple full-cycle SAP IBP implementations from blueprint to go-live Conduct detailed fit-gap analysis and solution design workshops Design system architecture and integration points with SAP S/4HANA and third-party systems Develop comprehensive functional specifications and configuration documents Execute system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing Lead data migration activities and data validation processes Manage cutover activities and post-go-live support

Domain Expertise & Business Process Design:

Design comprehensive demand planning processes incorporating statistical forecasting, demand sensing, and consensus planning Implement supply planning solutions with constraint-based planning and supply optimization Configure Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and executive dashboards Design inventory optimization strategies with safety stock planning and multi-echelon optimization Implement demand-driven MRP and supply network planning capabilities Configure IBP Control Tower for real-time visibility and exception management Design planning processes for new product introductions and product lifecycle management

Healthcare Manufacturing Specialization:

Implement batch planning and shelf-life management for pharmaceutical products Design demand planning for seasonal flu vaccines and pandemic response scenarios Configure planning processes for clinical trial material and commercial products Implement regulatory-compliant forecasting and supply planning workflows Design planning integration with serialization and track-and-trace systems

Required Skills & Experience:

SAP Implementation Experience:

10+ years of hands-on SAP IBP implementation experience with minimum 5 full lifecycle projects Proven experience leading SAP IBP implementations in manufacturing environments Deep technical knowledge of IBP architecture, data models, and integration capabilities Experience with SAP IBP Excel Add-in, web-based planning, and mobile applications Strong experience with SAP IBP analytics, KPI frameworks, and dashboard design Hands-on experience with IBP data integration and ETL processes

Domain Knowledge:

Extensive supply chain planning domain expertise in manufacturing industries Deep understanding of demand planning methodologies, statistical forecasting, and demand sensing Strong knowledge of supply planning, capacity planning, and constraint-based optimization Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process design and implementation Understanding of inventory optimization, safety stock planning, and service level management Knowledge of advanced planning concepts like demand-driven MRP and supply network planning

Healthcare Manufacturing Expertise:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical manufacturing implementations Deep understanding of FDA regulations, GMP requirements, and validation processes Experience with batch planning, shelf-life management, and expiry date planning Knowledge of clinical supply chain planning and commercial manufacturing planning Understanding of serialization impact on planning processes

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP IBP certification in Planning and Analytics Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or Engineering Experience with SAP S/4HANA advanced planning functions Knowledge of machine learning applications in demand forecasting Previous experience with validated system implementations (21 CFR Part 11)
