Software Development Engineer, EU 3P (MFN) Acceleration
The EU 3P (MFN) Acceleration Team aims to enable EU Sellers' success by leveraging the MFN (Merchant Fulfilment) Network across Amazon's EU Marketplaces. We focus on delivering impactful initiatives that ensure a seamless experience for Amazon Sellers throughout their journey. Selling on Amazon is rapidly growing, with over half of all items sold originating from third-party Sellers. In this role, you'll utilize the latest technologies to build highly distributed systems for Sellers worldwide, including frameworks like AWS and Machine Learning. Join a highly technical, entrepreneurial environment where you will define and develop features to enhance the selling experience, complementing Amazon's world-class e-commerce platform. Design, develop, and deploy high-performance, test-driven, scalable, and maintainable code. Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including designing system architecture and enhancements. Participate in code and design reviews. Collaborate with peers across Amazon teams to build and scale services. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, focusing on reliability and scaling. Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#. 1+ years of experience contributing to system architecture and design. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 5+ years of software development experience. Experience in developing large-scale distributed systems. Proficiency in a high-level programming language like Java or C/C++. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Python, JavaScript, AJAX, XML/XSLT, REST, SQL, databases, caching, web protocols, and web services. Experience with web technologies and large-scale distributed systems. Experience in all development phases, including design, implementation, and operation. Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts. Experience working in a Linux environment.
