POSITION Inventory Control Analyst JOB SUMMARY The Inventory Control Analyst is a strategic role that combines demand planning and internal inventory allocation to ensure the right products are purchased, positioned, and deployed with precision. This role plays a critical part in supporting route-level execution, minimizing waste, and aligning inventory decisions with promotional calendars, supplier constraints, and customer needs. Working cross-functionally with purchasing, warehouse operations, accounting, and the business development team, the Inventory Control Analyst helps drive efficient purchasing decisions and route-level allocation, ultimately supporting excellent service levels and optimized working capital. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Forecasting & Analysis Analyze a wide range of demand driverssuch as promotions, resets, supplier shortages, and discontinuationsto determine purchasing needs. Evaluate current inventory levels, open orders, and sales forecasts to recommend and execute accurate procurement strategies. Place purchase orders aligned with inventory forecasts and supply timelines. Maintain lean inventory levels (typically targeting two weeks on hand) while minimizing stockouts, spoilage, and excess inventory. Allocate inventory across delivery routes by setting warehouse pack levels and planning vehicle-specific inventory deployment. Support special projects and promotional events by adjusting standard pack configurations and route allocations as needed. Monitor and execute vendor credits for returned or unsellable product, including swell calculations and coordination with the accounting team. Plan and oversee inventory count processes to ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity. REQUIRED SKILLS Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel and demand planning software/tools. Understanding of supply chain and inventory principles. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly in a fast-paced growth environment. Attention to detail and ability to manage large data sets. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred 24 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, supply chain, or a related function Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable plans Proficiency in Excel or other data tools; experience with Tableau or BI tools a plus Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Seniority level
