The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate law, including contracts, corporate structuring, and investment. This role involves providing legal advice and support to the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and effectively negotiating contracts and agreements. The Corporate Counsel will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's interests while fostering positive relationships with the company's operational team. Responsibilities • Provide legal guidance on corporate matters, including compliance with licensing regulations and other relevant legal frameworks. • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests. • Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization. • Advise on corporate structuring matters and equity partnerships. • Collaborate with various departments to identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. • Maintain accurate records of legal documents and correspondence for administrative purposes. • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization. Requirements • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Admission to the bar in Ohio. • Proven experience in legal drafting and negotiation skills. • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate structuring, and mergers and acquisitions is preferred. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for effective problem-solving. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. • High level of professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive information.
