Electrical Project Engineer

Successful candidate will possess the capability to work independently to complete most projects assigned, from proposal / conceptual design through closeout, with limited assistance from a Senior Engineer or Director. Job Summary Support the electrical design of systems for various building types and project scopes—including power systems, lighting, fire alarm, and other electrical components for buildings. Ensure electrical designs meet building codes, safety standards, and regulations set by local authorities, and that drawings and designs conform to company standards. Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into building designs. Incorporate energy-efficient technologies and practices into electrical designs to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact. Estimate costs associated with electrical designs and ensure projects stay within budget. Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and performance. Troubleshoot electrical issues during design, construction, or operation phases. Create detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical systems to guide construction and maintenance. Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering technologies, building codes, and industry standards. Perform construction administration and field investigations for lighting, power, and fire alarm systems. Collaborate with Technical Leaders and Senior Engineers to ensure adherence to WB standards and manage workload and project scope deviations. Attend project meetings and site visits. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. 5-7 years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in CAD design software; Revit experience preferred. Comprehensive understanding of applicable design and building codes. Service-oriented, consultative problem-solving approach. Seniority level
