$160,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from The Newport Group - Executive Recruiters About the Company : Our client a top private residential homebuilder in the Bay Area is seeking a key person to add to their team. About the Role : The Quality Control and construction Management position is responsible for overseeing the quality control program and working to continuously improve the construction, methods, and safety of our jobsites. Responsibilities : Manage and conduct inspections across the range of Robson Homes properties including newly built homes, townhomes, and apartments, as well as existing commercial and multifamily projects within the company portfolio. Perform daily inspections, analysis of technical problems, research into new products and methods of construction, and assist in the continual improvement of plans and details from our architects and consultants. Focus on the building envelope including waterproofing, flashings, roofing, lath and plaster installation, window installation, etc. Report to head of Operations. Walk projects and perform key inspections throughout the building process. Research and advise management on new products and construction methods to improve quality. Work with construction and architecture teams to continuously review and improve on standard construction details and methods. Assist other departments (warranty, property management) in the analysis of more complex construction problems to determine root causes and develop repairs or solutions. Observe site conditions and work with construction team to address and improve safety. Continually increase knowledge of products, methods, and details in order to advise management on ways to continually improve the quality and safety of the jobsites. Review contract documents and scopes of work to ensure the Robson Homes quality expectations are clearly communicated to Subcontractors. Qualifications : Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role with combined 10 years + in construction industry. 10 Hour OSHA certified. (30HR preferred). Well versed in reading architectural, structural and civil plans. Thorough understanding of industry standard waterproofing methods and inspection process. Collaborative, pro-active and self-motivated with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Exceptional problem solver who looks to thoroughly understand and eliminate problems at their source. Comprehension of contracts and contract language. Strong decision making ability and attention to detail. Assertive, confident disposition with an ability to work well with people of all personality types. Working Conditions : Will be required to drive to various project sites on a daily basis. Must be physically able to walk construction sites, climb scaffold, and walk up to 4 flights of stairs. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring employee to follow and enforce safety measures. Keywords.
