Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer with expertise in API data integrations, Spark processing, and data lake development. The role involves ingesting production energy data and providing aggregated metrics to various teams. The ideal candidate is motivated, skilled in creating secure, high-performance data pipelines, and supports our enterprise data warehouse. A passion for quality and a modern approach to data practices in finance is essential. The candidate will collaborate with teams such as Analytics & Reporting, Origination Platform engineers, and AI developers. We seek a dedicated engineer eager to make a meaningful impact. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Implement data integrations across the organization and with business applications Develop and maintain scalable web applications with web services Participate in project design and development, independently or in teams Apply agile and DevOps principles Uphold data quality and availability standards for downstream consumers Manage projects from inception to delivery independently Mentor team members through pair programming and skills development Engage in data design and architecture discussions within the larger ecosystem Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities 6-10 years of experience in Data Analysis or Software Development Experience with data warehousing (SQL, NoSQL) and BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Excel) Degree in Computer Science or related field Proficiency with DataBricks/Spark processing Expertise in relational (SQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch) Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow Strong web framework skills (Vue/React) Understanding of performance and scalability considerations Experience with AWS services (IAM, Cognito, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation) Knowledge of serverless technologies (Lambda, SQS, SNS, SES) Experience with serverless applications on cloud platforms Ability to maintain large, complex codebases Salary ranges from $160,000 to $210,000 annually, with potential bonuses and equity.
