The Staff Accountant provides support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. By supporting the team and preparing financial statements and reporting, the Staff Accountant will contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department. Responsibilities & Duties Enters contract information and vendor invoices in Intacct, reviews bills for compliance with contract terms, and processes payments. Prepares monthly bank, credit card and other reconciliations. Prepares monthly journal entries and assists with year-end adjusting and closing entries. Prepares standard and ad-hoc financial reports/statements for internal and external audiences. Assists with reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other financial transactions as assigned. Maintains and updates vendor records and financial data to ensure accuracy and timely availability of information when needed. Supports external audits by preparing schedules and documentation. Assists with other accounting projects as needed. Qualifications Alignment to the Mission and Culture at OTF. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred. Two or more years of related experience, preferably in a nonprofit or grant-funded environment. Experience, related skills and knowledge

Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits. Knowledge of financial statements and how the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows interrelate. A proactive self-starter who independently manages a full workload by anticipating needs, taking ownership of tasks, and prioritizing efficiently. Technologically adept, with proven experience in ERP and bookkeeping software like Intacct. Ability to communicate financial ideas and concepts efficiently and quickly to leadership and non-financial personnel. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, with strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLookup/HLookup and other key functions. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
