Sr. Director of Warehouse Operations & Logistics As the Sr Director of Warehouse Operations and Logistics, you will play a key role in leading our warehouse operations, logistics, and distribution processes across all our business channels. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background and hands-on experience in building and implementing process and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep warehouse and supply chain knowledge, and a track record of driving efficiency and scalability. Warehouse Operations: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment and shipping/receiving. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve warehouse performance, such as inventory accuracy, order accuracy and on-time delivery. Manage the warehouse budget and resources, including temporary staffing agencies effectively, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high service levels. Evaluate and select suppliers and service providers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of warehouse related services. Monitor inventory levels and develop strategies to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory. Work closely with planning and procurement teams to ensure accurate forecasting. Conduct regular cycle counts for inventory accuracy and manage annual full inventory taking process across all warehouse locations. Drive initiatives to enhance safety standards and promote a culture of workplace safety among warehouse staff. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Logistics: Develop and maintain an enterprise logistics program, providing vendor management of the major couriers and ensuring shipping contracts and operations are optimized in practice. Develop robust risk management strategies to enhance supply chain resilience, identifying potential disruptions and implementing mitigation plans. Understand manufacturing timelines and provide continuous updates on order deliveries, shipping delays, and quality control issues. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) provider to ensure timely and efficient product distribution. Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to meet business needs. Develop, direct, and manage overall cost reduction targets and oversee execution of initiatives. Establish a continuous improvement culture, regularly reviewing processes and implementing lean methodologies and innovative technologies. Understand seasonal needs of the business and create logistical plans that support business growth, timelines, and budgets through peak periods. Financial and Risk Management: Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximizing return on investment. Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance and financial results. Identify and assess potential risks to the logistics operations and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure business continuity plans are in place to minimize disruptions to the supply chain. Team Management & Development: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the logistics team, and cultivate a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment. Build and maintain a high-performing team by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Establish clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development, providing opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management or a related field. Proven experience 10+ years in warehouse management or logistics operations, with a track record of success in leading large teams and managing complex operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions. International experience is a plus, particularly in global supply chain management and logistics In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management best practices and industry standards. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations. Strong relationship building, communication, time management and prioritization skills. Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for improving and building new processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
