You will play a pivotal role in driving the next generation of intelligent experiences in Apples products and services, leveraging the latest advancements in Generative AI and Large Language Models. Your work will significantly impact the company by collaborating with world-class experts and utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to push innovation boundaries. Ideal candidates will have a background that combines data engineering and product thinking, with practical experience in building measurement, evaluation, and insights to enhance products. You will partner closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and other teams to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will also include deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure for large-scale data and ML operations. Responsibilities include architecting and implementing scalable backend systems that support measurement, inference, and optimization efforts, ensuring performance and reliability. You will work with cross-functional teams to define metrics, gather requirements, and deliver impactful solutions. Ensuring backend services are scalable, efficient, and secure to handle large data volumes is essential. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications

Experience leading strategic technical projects with multiple partners and directing other engineers or serving as a technical lead. Experience in building large-scale data processing and distributed systems using technologies like Spark and Kafka. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and embedding data stores. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go. Proven ability to build high-quality, scalable backend systems. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude, thriving in collaborative, fast-paced environments. Ability to tackle complex challenges, think critically, and deliver innovative solutions. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Experience with multi-sensor perception systems and visualization. Experience with Machine Learning platforms and tools. At Apple, the base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees may also participate in stock programs, receive benefits such as medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, educational reimbursements, and more. This role may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or relocation assistance.
