SQL Database Administrator . This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Data Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. Indianapolis, IN . Candidate must be available to work on a rotating shift schedule to provide 24/7 support. Shift Schedule: Shift 1: 05:0014:00 CST Shift 2: 13:0022:00 CST Shift 3: 21:0006:00 CST Additional Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the field. At least 1 year of IT experience. Minimum 6 months experience in MS SQL Server administration and maintenance (PostgreSQL experience is a plus). Understanding of Cloud environments, preferably Azure. Ability to install and configure MS SQL Server, SQL clustering, and Always-On Availability Groups. Capacity planning skills based on database growth. Expert troubleshooting skills in SQL Clustering and PostgreSQL environments. Experience in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting database systems. Strong skills in data modeling, performance tuning, and database upgrades/migrations. Knowledge of SQL Server tools like SQL Profiler, Database Tuning Advisor, and execution plans. Experience with backup, restoration, replication, and security management. Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Analysis Services (SSAS). Ability to document database infrastructure and understand business data flow. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tools like Qlik Attunity, SolarWinds DPA, Delphix. PowerShell scripting skills. Experience with backup tools like EMC Networker, Commvault. Planning and coordination skills, M&A experience, good communication and analytical skills. The role involves extended periods of sitting and working at a computer. Travel may be required.
