Vehicle Management:
Directing the movement of vehicles between the showroom, lot, service area, and storage facilities. This includes coordinating test drives, deliveries, and vehicle transfers. Team Leadership:
Supervising and delegating tasks to other porters, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to dealership standards. Inventory Control:
Maintaining accurate records of vehicle locations, condition, and any necessary documentation, such as stickers and keys. Vehicle Maintenance:
Overseeing the cleaning and detailing of both the interior and exterior of vehicles, as well as performing basic maintenance like checking fluid levels and tire pressure. Customer Service:
Assisting customers with vehicle inquiries, providing shuttle services, and ensuring vehicles are prepared for customer delivery. Lot Maintenance:
Ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the dealership lot, including parking areas, service bays, and display areas. Safety and Security:
Ensuring all vehicles are handled safely, preventing damage and maintaining lot security. Communication:
Effectively communicating with other dealership staff, including sales, service, and management, to coordinate tasks and address any issues. In essence, the Head Porter acts as a central point of contact for all vehicle-related activities on the lot, ensuring smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
