Travel **Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist**
**Shift**: Day shift, 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
**Position Overview**: We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in interventional radiology with the ability to perform vascular and neuro studies. This position requires availability for orientation during the first week, which may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday based on the training schedule.
**Responsibilities**: - Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, biopsies, and drainages. - Conduct daily case loads ranging from 13 to 17 procedures. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient care. - Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting using the EPIC system. - Participate in weekend and evening on-call rotations as needed.
**Qualifications**: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in interventional radiology is required; first-time travelers will not be considered. - Must hold a valid BLS certification and ARRT certification. An ARRT Advanced Certification is preferred. - Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment is essential. - Familiarity with PACS and experience in inpatient hospital settings are required. - Preferred skills include experience in outpatient settings, operating rooms, emergency rooms, level I trauma, and ablation procedures.
**Patient Demographics**: - Majority of patients are adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents. - Required skills include competence in both neuro (including stroke interventions) and body procedures.
**Required Skills & Certifications**: - Proficient in interventional radiology techniques such as carotid angiography, central venous access, chemotherapy port placements, and more. - Experience in various procedural settings including trauma levels and community hospitals is advantageous.
**Orientation and Scheduling Details**: - Must be available for a hospital orientation week, which is mandatory and covers essential training and protocol. - Flexibility to work different shifts and be part of a call rotation is necessary.
