$2245 Position Summary: VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities: • Perform ultrasound examinations including High Risk OB, GE, Abdominal Aorta, Appendix, Breast, Gallbladder, Liver, Pancreas, Pediatric Abdomen/Pelvis, and Spleen studies • Conduct obstetric ultrasounds across all trimesters including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester examinations • Perform specialized OB procedures including Amniotic fluid index, Fetal Anatomical Survey, and Placenta Previa assessments • Execute diagnostic imaging of Abdomen/Pelvis/Renal/Bladder, measuring Bone lengths, Cerebellum, and Ventricles • Conduct gender determination, Head, Heart, Bladder, Hernia, Ovaries, Prostate, Renal/Bladder, Uterus, and Vaginal ultrasounds • Perform breast procedures including Breast Cyst Aspiration, Breast Ultrasound, and imaging of Superficial Masses • Execute ultrasound examinations of Testicles/Scrotum and Thyroid for outpatient services • Provide level 1 OB scans and GYN scans for OB/GYN patients • Perform Nuchal Translucency Screen procedures when required • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation and record keeping • Maintain current ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN, and BLS certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (4-5 hours for non-acute roles) • Float between units within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill requirements • Work assigned Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters • Report to work during emergency situations when required • Comply with fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week • Complete required compliance documentation and laboratory testing within 48 hours of assignment • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact license required) Job Requirements: Active, unencumbered license in NC Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable) Other Required Documentation: Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format) Two current clinical references State-required professional license Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months) TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months) Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted) Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations Must pass background check and drug screening Why Choose VitalHire: A modern, mobile-first platform built for how you want to work Clear, upfront pay rates - no surprises Book contracts and shifts on your schedule, 24/7 Maximize your take-home with top tier, tax-free housing & travel stipends Contract extension bonuses Referral rewards Optional retirement benefits One quick setup of your profile gives you immediate access to all job details, facilities, and complete control of your work-life balance.
