The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented
Vice President of Marketing
to lead a holistic marketing function that integrates traditional field and event marketing with modern digital and e-commerce-driven approaches. This role is about partnering with business unit leaders to drive strategy, shape the function, and empower a high-performing team to deliver.
Location: Chicago, IL (HYBRID)
As VP of Marketing, you will be a key member of the commercial leadership team, responsible for elevating our brand, guiding demand-generation strategy, and aligning marketing operations with broader business transformation and value creation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Architect and lead a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy that blends field marketing, event marketing, and digital growth levers in support of revenue acceleration, customer acquisition, and market share expansion.
Translate commercial goals into actionable marketing roadmaps with clear KPIs and investment frameworks.
Brand, Events & Communications
Refine and evolve mSupply’s brand narrative to reflect innovation, reliability, and thought leadership.
Ensure brand consistency across all external and internal touchpoints, from campaigns to conferences.
Digital & Demand Generation
Guide the team in scaling digital marketing efforts—including SEO/SEM, retargeting, paid media, email marketing, and conversion rate optimization—to support e-commerce and lead generation goals.
Partner with product and technology teams to optimize digital merchandising, site UX, and campaign landing experiences.
Field Marketing & Sales Enablement
Align traditional marketing tactics (e.g., in-market events, branch-level programs, trade shows) with digital initiatives to maximize multichannel impact.
Support sales enablement by developing tools, messaging, and campaigns that improve conversion and wallet share from existing customers.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary marketing team spanning digital, demand generation, product marketing, events, and communications.
Build scalable capabilities and infrastructure, including marketing automation, analytics, and martech platforms to support long-term growth.
Measurement & Collaboration
Champion a data-driven culture, tracking and reporting on key metrics like CAC, LTV, pipeline contribution, and marketing ROI.
Work closely with Sales, Product, Finance, and Technology to align marketing strategy with business execution and transformation milestones.
What You Bring
10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally in B2B distribution, e-commerce, or PE-backed transformation environments.
Strong fluency in both traditional and digital marketing strategies; ability to bridge legacy and modern approaches seamlessly.
Experience leading tentpole events or annual conferences that drive thought leadership and commercial value.
Demonstrated success building high-performance teams and marketing infrastructure in fast-paced, evolving companies.
Proficiency with marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Power BI, Google Analytics).
A strategic operator with a collaborative mindset and passion for innovation.
