Key Job Details - Baltimore Nursing Jobs Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) - Locum Tenens Location: Baltimore, Maryland 21218 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Healthcare Setting: Interventional cardiac cath lab, structural heart program Shift: Day shifts, 4x9.5-hour (06:30 - 16:00) Hours per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,320 - $2,490 Call Requirement: 1-2 weeknight on-call shifts/week; 3-4 weekend call shifts/month Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients Start Date: September 16, 2025 End Date: December 16, 2025 Cath Lab RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Registered Nurse experience Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (required for Maryland nursing jobs) Certifications: ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association) Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Ability to float to other clinical units as needed Two supervisor references required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Baltimore, MD Cath Lab Nurse Responsibilities Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations for adult patients Assist with IABP placement/removal, heart catheterizations, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, cardiac ablation, and mapping Support cerebral and carotid angiography, vertebroplasty, angioplasty, carotid stenting, and special cardiac procedures Administer and monitor procedural sedation, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, thrombolytics, and reversal agents Assist with central line insertion/management and IV starts Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKGs, and activated clotting time (ACT) Circulate and scrub procedures, monitor sheath removal, and utilize external compression devices Follow hypothermia protocols, infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation/laser safety guidelines Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response Ready to join a top Baltimore healthcare team and make an impact in cardiac nursing?
