NP/PA Newborn/Pediatric Hospitalist in Morehead City, NC - New

ECU Health Physicians and Carteret Health Care are partnering to expand and are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care or Physician Assistant for a unique role providing care for newborn infants and pediatric patients at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, NC, with a monthly on-site rotation at ECU Health Maynard Children's Hospital in Greenville, NC, for high-risk resuscitation skills and competency maintenance.

Highlights include:

• Employment by ECU Health Physicians
• Hospital privileges at Carteret Hospital and ECU Health Maynard Childrens Hospital
• Support and continuous competency training provided by Maynard Childrens Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center
• Average of 12 x 24-hour shifts per month with return to the Children's Hospital for continued competency for an average of 24 hours per quarter
• Clinical responsibilities include rounding and coordination of care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients, attending all at-risk deliveries, and participating in resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as needed
• Transfer support provided by ECU Health Medical Center

Job requirements include:

• Pediatric NP-AC
• NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant
• National Board Certification as a Pediatric NP-AC or Physician Assistant, including maintenance
• At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
