A successful Clinic Medical Director is intrinsically motivated, challenge-driven, rethinks traditions and genuinely cares about employees and patients. The Clinic Medical Director acts with an owners mindset, cultivating new ideas for driving business performance by leading the clinic team, managing financial outcomes, and supporting patient retention and growth through effective operations and direct patient care.
WHAT YOULL DO
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow
Attend staff and departmental meetings
Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
Proposes improvements to processes and workflows
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
ABOUT YOU
Active MD, DO, NP or PA license, board certified or board eligible; family, IM/Peds or emergency medicine
Minimum 2 years of experience in ER, urgent care or similar setting
Ability to consult and treat patients of all ages
1+ year leading others in a healthcare setting
Understanding of financial statements and HR business processes
Active listener that uses soft skills to build and maintain trusting relationships at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication and interpersonal, time management, planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Hourly rates range from $75/hr - $85/hr depending on level of experience. FT salary range of $117,000 - $132,600 for a 30hr work week. There is also a lucrative RVU Program and a monthly stipend for the CMD role.
