Responsibilities
The Outpatient Neurology Department at Virginia Mason includes 11 Neurologists caring for patients with a wide range of neurologic diseases. As part of the Neurosciences Institute, we integrate care and are co-located with neurosurgery, neuropsychology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and the inpatient neuro-hospitalist service. We foster a collegial and enjoyable work environment, featuring bi-monthly journal club, neuro-radiology conference, neurovascular conference, neuro-oncology tumor board, and research collaborations with the Benaroya Research Institute. Our hospital is a teaching institution with Internal Medicine residents and a partnership with the University of Washington for rotating medical students at our downtown location. Resources supporting staff include a PhD research program manager, clinical pharmacist, RN case management, and a social worker. This position involves outpatient call only, shared among all Neurologists, located at our downtown Seattle campus.
Qualifications
- BE/BC in Neurology
- Fellowship training in EEG, EMG, or other subspecialties is welcome
- Ability to obtain a medical license in Washington State
- Ability to obtain DEA registration with full prescriptive authority
- BLS certification required
