Responsibilities:

  1. Complete initial psychiatric assessment, physical evaluation, and psychiatric work-up
  2. Provide psychotherapy, psychopharmacological therapy, and other therapies in accordance with clinical privileges
  3. Confer with case managers, mental health agencies, community social workers, and physicians
  4. Consult with families
  5. Discharge planning and complete summaries in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations
  6. Make referrals and request consultations with external facilities
  7. Provide medical record documentation meeting Joint Commission and federal standards
  8. Provide coverage for Admission Office
  9. Participate in, attend, and facilitate meetings
  10. Attend court hearings

Additional Details:

  • This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit, with a pay range of #P1 .
  • Normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare, 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, Ohio 44067 .
  • The salary is negotiable based on qualifications, with scheduled increases and benefits.
  • Requires certification to practice medicine, completion of residency in psychiatry, and relevant experience.
  • Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application.
