Diagnostic Radiologic Technician
Location: VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) Multiple Sites
Contract Period: Base Year + Three Option Years
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Hourly Wage: 50.00/hr plus 4.93 for Health and Wellness
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and other radiographic exams.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment.
- Follow all radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in contrast media administration as needed under supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Completion of a 24-month diagnostic radiologic technology program from an accredited institution.
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) .
- Minimum one year of experience as a diagnostic radiologic technician.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and handle multiple imaging requests.
