4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30) Hours per Week:
40 Call:
Required (including nights and weekends) PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent PACU nursing experience required for travel nurse candidates Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (must be current at time of application) Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications One supervisory reference in PACU specialty (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (two attempts maximum) Background check and fingerprinting required prior to start Ability to take call, including nights and weekends, as part of the PACU nursing team PACU RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and respond to post-anesthesia emergencies Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations Accurately document all nursing care and interventions in a timely manner Participate in call rotation, including nights and weekends, as required by the PACU unit
