Position Overview
This role focuses on sourcing and ordering required parts, tracking shipments, and working closely with mechanics to provide updates on delivery status and resolve any supply issues.
Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring parts are received in a timely manner to minimize equipment downtime. Warehouse duties such as labeling, stocking, and maintaining an organized parts room are required. The primary emphasis is on proactive order management, Inventory management, cycle counts, and communication with the maintenance team, and ensuring the right parts are available when needed. Experienced staff may also support inventory tracking, shipping and receiving, and distribution of equipment and parts. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. The schedule is a rotating schedule. The successful candidate can work a schedule of 8-6, 9-5 or 10-4 with hours of operation 7am-6pm. Essential Functions
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe and efficient work procedures. Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment. Pick up and return parts and other supplies from vendors. Source and procure parts and supplies. Manage all logistics for supplies, equipment, and parts. Ensure stock is placed neatly on shelves and that material status is clearly identifiable. Safely operate a forklift. Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain documentation. Higher proficiency is required for higher levels within supply chain. Deliver parts and supplies to Mine and Exploration sites for drill crews. Maintain a clean and organized work area following all housekeeping requirements. Maintain clear, concise communication with the Mechanics and Supply Chain Manager regarding vehicle/equipment service and supplies needed. Report to work each shift on time and fit for duty. Maintain effective and collaborative workplace relationships, treating others with dignity and respect. Qualifications
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screen, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and additional background screening as required by regulation and/or industry practice. Self-starter with the ability to work as a team, as well as independently. Ability to personally handle heavy wrenches, lift and/or carry heavy tools or supplies (up to 100 lbs.) Strong computer skills. Warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, and distribution experience. Must be able to maintain a good attendance record. Strong interest and ability to learn, develop, and grow within National. Typical Pay Schedule (pay commensurate with experience)
Supply Chain II- $28-$35/hr.
Two (2) plus years' experience. Warehouse, shipping, and distribution experience required. Purchasing experience preferred. Supply Chain III- $35-$45/hr.
Three (3) years plus experience. Significant purchasing, warehouse, inventory control, and logistical experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel. Ability to work independently with minimal direction/support as well as with a group and with a variety of levels of management.
