Ok, that may be a little too much milk to take in, but we are in need of a Milk Receiver to do just that. As a Milk Receiver you'll play a crucial role in our product distribution process - receiving fresh milk from our dairy partners. This role requires some real endurance as you dock, connect, and unload milk from our tankers. SCHEDULE: 12 hour shifts (nights or days -6 to 6); working on a 2-2-3 schedule (week 1 of payroll: 2 days on, 2 days off; 3 days on; 2nd week of payroll: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off). PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Efficiently unload milk tankers into silos by climbing and connecting various hosesCommunicate, navigate, and instruct tank haulers on milk receiving processPerform CIP on all milk tankers and receiving linesPerform routine mechanical and manual cleaning to maintain a food safety and quality requirementsPerform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of equipmentEnsure all quality testing and procedures are completed before unloading tankersCoordinate tanker traffic with team leads and tanker haulersKeep accurate and legible recordsAlways maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediatelyQUALIFICATIONS:Skills & Abilities: Excellent time management skills with the ability to complete routine tasks safely and efficientlyStrong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in personAbility to complete physically demanding tasks routinely - consists of climbing, crouching, lifting, and walking, while in a harnessStrong understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper use at all timesAbility to complete fall protection training and operate in a safe and efficient mannerKnowledge of good manufacturing practicesAbility to operate equipment safelyMust be able to work 12 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required Ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Ability to troubleshoot and prioritizeExperience: At least 1 year of experience in a plant production, warehouse, or general labor positionBasic computer and math skillsEducation/Certifications: High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires ability to walk and stand for 12 or more hours at a time while in fall protection equipmentRequires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights including elevations of 15ft, or more, regularlyRequires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items between 20 and 55lbs oftenRequires ability to push and pull items occasionally in excess of 55lbsRequires ability to safely operate equipment.Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundingsRequires ability to hear and speak Requires ability to frequently hear and speak in very noisy environmentsRequires ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures and conditions in an outdoor environmentRequires ability to work in confined spaces oftenRequires ability to work safely with hazardous chemicalsBENEFITS:Medical, Dental & Vision plans401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matchDisability InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramHealth & Wellness ProgramsPaid Time OffShift Pay DifferentialEducation AssistanceOn-site Fitness CenterOn-Site Health Clinic uniforms provided (washed and pressed onsite!)The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list; employees may be subject to additional, or altered, tasks and the scope of the role may change as necessitated by business demands.
