Description
Under the supervision of the appropriate Custodial Coordinator, Custodians at the YMCA support our mission by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, staff, and guests. This role is responsible for a wide range of cleaning and light maintenance duties to ensure the facility operates efficiently and meets hygiene and safety standards.
Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including but not limited to locker rooms, fitness areas, offices, and public spaces. Perform routine cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. Wipe down glass, mirrors, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness and appearance. Collect, wash, dry, fold, and re-stock towels throughout the facility during the shift. Perform floor care tasks including dry and wet mopping, stripping and waxing floors, and shampooing carpets. Assist with light maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs, replacing air handling unit (AHU) filters, and participating in the facility's Preventative Maintenance Program. Follow all YMCA policies and procedures related to health, safety, and member service. Requirements
1. At least 18 years old.
