We are

seeking an experienced and strategic finance leader to join our Executive Team as Vice President of Finance & Accounting. This key leadership role is responsible for directing all financial and accounting functions while supporting the resort's mission to create lifelong connections through unforgettable mountain adventures. As a full-time, year-round position, the VP of Finance & Accounting reports directly to the General Manager, with a dotted-line relationship with corporate accounting leadership.

Responsibilities

. Financial Leadership & Strategy Lead all financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities for The Summit at Snoqualmie and Alpental, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities. Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly P&L, balance sheets, payroll summaries, and capital expenditure reports. Provide senior leadership with clear, data-driven insights and financial analysis to support decision-making and long-term planning. Operational & Process Excellence Perform monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance financial operations, efficiency, and reporting. Leverage technology to streamline workflows and support transformation initiatives across the finance function. Leadership & Team Management Lead and mentor the accounting team, including Accounting Manager, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Payroll staff. Recruit, train, develop, and retain high-performing team members aligned with the resort’s culture and goals. Define clear departmental objectives, performance standards, and accountability measures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business (CPA preferred) Minimum 7 years progressive experience in finance and accounting Strong skills in forecasting, budgeting, and Microsoft Excel. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with experience assembling and reviewing financial statements Experience with point-of-sale systems and enterprise accounting software Excellent communication and presentation skills for all organizational levels Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities Ability to be on-site in Snoqualmie Pass, WA for this leadership role Preferred Qualifications: Resort, hospitality, or service industry background Ski industry experience Working with multiple point of sale systems Click here for full job description! Join our team and enjoy The Summit Experience! Wage and Benefit Info: The wage range for this positions is: from$140,000 to $180,000 anually. Additional performance-based bonus opportunities tied to both compnay and individual achievements. Benefits include: health, dental, vision Team member will accrue PTO and will earn 2 weeks or more in a 12 month period. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
