Marketing Director - Pop-culture Industry

CultureFly is a leading creator of licensed accessories, toys, collectibles, and lifestyle products that bring pop culture brands to life. We specialize in delivering unique, fan-focused experiences across retail, e-commerce, and subscription box channels. About the Role: We are looking for a strategic and creative Marketing Director to lead CultureFly’s marketing initiatives across all platforms and channels. This role will be responsible for driving brand awareness, consumer engagement, and revenue growth through innovative marketing strategies that align with CultureFly’s brand and product portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute marketing strategies to support CultureFly’s growth across retail, DTC, and subscription box businesses. Lead and manage the marketing team, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance management. Oversee brand management to ensure cohesive storytelling across product launches, social media, influencer partnerships and digital platforms. Collaborate closely with Product Development, Sales, Creative and Licensing teams to ensure successful product positioning and go-to-market plans. Manage and grow digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and paid advertising campaigns. Build strategy to grow brand and format awareness tied to physical product awareness and availability across brick & mortar retailers. Lead influencer and content marketing strategies to maximize brand exposure and community engagement. Analyze consumer data, market trends, and campaign performance to optimize marketing strategies and deliver actionable insights. Develop and manage the annual marketing budget and resource allocation. Coordinate marketing initiatives with licensor brand guidelines and enhance scope through and partnership. Develop event calendar for industry events, item drops and brand releases. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within consumer products, toys, collectibles or lifestyle brands,. 3+ years of leadership experience managing and developing marketing teams. Strong digital marketing expertise, including social, paid media, influencer marketing, and analytics. Experience working with licensed brands and familiarity with licensor approvals is highly preferred. Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and entrepreneurial environment. Drive & Passion for disruptive marketing tactics. Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 Seniority level
