Summary:

The Director of Human Resources will be a strategic and operational leader responsible for shaping and leading a team through a critical merger and integration phase. This role will be instrumental in aligning people strategies with business objectives, ensuring a smooth cultural and operational integration, and supporting leaders and employees through transformational change. This role oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of HR policies, programs, and practices across all facets of the employee lifecycle, either directly or through team leadership. The ideal candidate brings experience in organizational design, change leadership, and employee experience within the consumer products industry.

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven HR leader to optimize and elevate core HR operations. This individual will focus on enhancing systems, processes, and service delivery. The Director will collaborate closely with HR, IT, Finance, and other key stakeholders to drive process improvements, ensure data integrity, and increase operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance employee experience and business outcomes through organizational development, talent management, and workforce planning strategies.
  • Lead HR initiatives that support a high-performance culture and enhance employee engagement.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to HR team members. Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering corporate policies, and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Oversee performance management processes, leadership development, and training programs to build capability across the organization. Formulate training policies, programs, and schedules based on identified training needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting comply.
  • Advise management and guide the HR team in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Recommend development and/or revision of company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure the hiring of top talent for all corporate positions.
  • Review proposed salary actions to ensure conformance with established guidelines and policies.
  • Develop, maintain, and present best practice new employee orientation and reorientation sessions.
  • Champion initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Support change management efforts and communication strategies.
  • Plan and manage through the HR team the new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals. Train or assist in training management on interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and sexual harassment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, HR process optimization, and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically to achieve business goals.

  • Discretionary Time Off for reasons such as vacation, short-term illness, childcare needs, children’s school activities, sick time, medical/dental appointments, personal business, personal errands, or emergencies. Up to 14 weeks of parental leave (8 weeks for recovery and 6 weeks for bonding).
  • 10 paid holidays annually.

Salary Range: $188,000-212,000. This role is also eligible for participation in Weber's bonus program.
