Are you a CPA with deep 1040 experience, great communication skills, and long-term commitment to public accounting? This boutique firm in Great Falls, VA is seeking a hands-on Tax Director to take over a well-established book of high-net-worth clients and grow into a Partner role.
You'll join a close-knit, tax-only team with an excellent reputation, strong retention, and no pressure to bring in your own clients — just the opportunity to inherit a book and lead.

• Convenient Location: Based in a charming, professional office setting near downtown Great Falls, with easy access to Tysons, Reston, and DC.
  

• Lead the preparation and review of 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120S returns
• Manage and grow a pre-established book of private clients
• Oversee and develop junior staff
• Partner with firm leadership on strategic initiatives and succession planning
• Use CCH Axcess and QuickBooks for tax prep and workflow
  

• CPA required
• 10–20 years of public accounting or family office tax experience
• Strong expertise in 1040s; trust & estate experience (1041) is helpful but not required
• Comfortable managing client relationships and leading a team
• Must be currently local or already commuting distance to Great Falls — this is a 100% onsite role
  

• Private client tax professionals who want long-term partnership, not constant churn
• Candidates from Big 4 or regional firms (especially PCS/PFS groups) seeking a more meaningful and balanced leadership path
• Individuals who enjoy building strong client relationships and delivering excellent service
