Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $400,000.00/yr

Job Description:

A leading accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Director or Partner with deep expertise in Compensation and Benefits . This high-impact role offers the opportunity to manage complex tax engagements, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and help shape the future of the firm’s practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple client engagements and provide high-level tax planning and consulting services.
  • Advise clients on deferred compensation arrangements, Section 409A compliance, and executive compensation structures.
  • Review audited employee benefit plans for tax compliance with IRS, DOL, and PBGC regulations.
  • Represent clients in IRS, DOL, and PBGC audits.
  • Review and oversee Form 5500 filings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Mentor, train, and develop junior professionals to foster growth and excellence within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA preferred .
  • 10+ years of tax experience focused on employee benefits.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
