We’re building an effective, impactful Product Analytics function at (Company Name). As a Senior Product Analyst, Payments, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product roadmap through close collaboration with Product Managers to establish proper metrics and impact sizing. You will drive experimentation initiatives and manage the testing framework. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing KPIs for our payments product squad, identifying gaps and potential opportunities that will help grow the business. The best candidates will not just provide insights to the EPD (Engineering & Product) org, but be strategic drivers, identifying gaps and opportunities in the money & risk area, building internal alignment, and creating meaningful business impact. To achieve this, you will collaborate with Data/Analytics Engineers building Product Analytics SSOT models in DBT & Snowflake.
This role is focused on candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a remote-first company with a home base in SF, where our team comes together for periodic in-person collaboration (most local teammates opt to come in on Tuesdays / Thursdays). The impact you will have
- Own analytics for payments, billing, and risk features, from user checkout experience to internal financial reporting.
- Monitor and improve critical KPIs such as payment success rate, failed payment recovery, fraud rates, chargeback volume, and revenue leakage.
- Identify and size revenue and risk opportunities across the payments funnel (from checkout to Stripe to invoice collection).
- Partner with Product Managers on A/B tests and experiments related to payments UX, fraud flags, or risk workflows.
- Collaborate with Engineering to instrument new product features and ensure great event tracking and data integrity in payment flows.
- Enhance product planning through impactful sizing, enabling more strategic decision-making.
- Improve data integrity and quality by collaborating with developers on database design.
- Establish a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) by working with Data & Analytics Engineers to implement models in DBT and Snowflake, and designing dashboards for a unified view of critical data.
Who you’ll work with
- Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to our Director of Data Analytics, Piotr Rosiak.
- Team Collaboration: You will be embedded within up to two product squads, working closely with Payments.
- Technical Collaboration: You will work with Analytics Engineers on data modeling, data quality, and tools like DBT and Snowflake.
What we're looking for
- Familiarity with Stripe or other payment processors and subscription billing systems.
- Strong understanding of metrics design, experimentation, and product funnel analysis.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, analyze financial systems, and proactively identify issues.
- Knowledge of risk scoring, fraud detection, or chargeback processes.
- Proven experience in developing KPIs and metrics for product squads, especially in startup environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, with experience in DBT and Snowflake preferred.
- Ability to build comprehensive end-to-end data products.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Experience in SaaS, startups, or the restaurant industry is a plus.
Pay and benefits
- Base salary range: $160,000-$210,000, plus a pre-IPO equity package.
