The Role of a Regional Vice President of Sales at Coupa:
We seek a dynamic, results-oriented Regional Vice President (RVP) of Sales to lead enterprise sales efforts in California. This strategic role involves driving revenue growth, building and coaching a high-performing team, and developing key executive relationships. The ideal candidate has extensive SaaS sales experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of closing complex deals with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the enterprise sales team, setting goals, quotas, and performance metrics.
- Developing and executing regional go-to-market strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets through strategic planning, pipeline development, and deal management.
- Recruiting, coaching, and retaining top sales talent, fostering professional growth.
- Building strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders for long-term partnerships.
- Collaborating with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to optimize sales processes and improve customer experience.
Qualifications include:
- 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including 5+ years in sales leadership within high-growth SaaS environments.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar quotas in complex, long-cycle sales.
- Experience in building, scaling, and managing distributed enterprise sales teams.
- Deep knowledge of SaaS sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, or SPIN.
- Strong executive presence and business acumen, capable of engaging C-level stakeholders.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales tools like Salesforce, Clari, Outreach; Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
The estimated salary range is $215,000 - $225,000+, plus commission, with an approximate pay mix of 50/50. Final salary will depend on skills, experience, and location.
