Job Description
Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where And How You Can Work
Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a hub in San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations. We offer flexibility in how and where you work. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA — and this role is no exception. While the current focus is on helping shape how Canva drives value, communicates plan differentiation, and grows our self-serve business, the scope may evolve based on business needs and your strengths. And we like to think that’s all part of the fun.
At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On
We are hiring a Senior or Principal PMM to run Ecosystem product marketing. The final level for this role will depend on the successful candidate’s experience and expertise. You will own the product marketing strategy for apps, integrations, and extensibility at Canva, across three core pillars:
- Strategic Integrations – building the right native integrations, such as AI platforms, Ad Tech, and communication tools, launching them effectively, and driving adoption across core workflows.
- Developer and Platform PMM – owning positioning, messaging, and enablement for Canva’s developer platform, making it easy and compelling for builders to create on Canva.
- SI and Partner Go-to-Market – partnering with Strategic Integrations and Partnerships teams to support key system integrators and third-party partners in successfully launching and scaling their solutions.
This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on GTM execution skills, with a proven track record of building repeatable and scalable growth programs for technical or platform products.
What You’d Be Doing In This Role
- Lead product marketing strategy for Canva’s ecosystem, covering integrations, apps, and the developer platform. Your work will drive adoption, partner success, and long-term platform growth.
- Define and evolve a compelling narrative for Canva’s extensibility that is rooted in real customer and developer needs, and resonates across partners, developers, and end users.
- Establish and validate clear target audience definitions, including developers, IT professionals, and strategic partners, to guide messaging, enablement, product direction, and GTM planning.
- Design and execute go-to-market strategies for high-impact integrations and platform capabilities in close collaboration with Product, Partnerships, and GTM teams.
- Build feedback loops by gathering insights from users, developers, partners, and internal teams, and use them to inform the roadmap and uncover new opportunities.
- Create differentiated messaging and positioning based on deep understanding of the market and competitive landscape, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Partner with Canva’s marketing teams to integrate ecosystem capabilities into broader campaigns where they enhance the story.
- Enable sales and success teams with high-quality materials, including messaging frameworks, demo narratives, and competitor comparisons.
- Contribute to pricing, packaging, and monetisation strategy by bringing forward market insights and understanding of customer and partner needs.
You Will Thrive In This Role If You Have
- Deep experience in product marketing for APIs, integrations, platforms, or ecosystems.
- Proven success launching technical products and driving adoption across multiple audiences, including developers, IT professionals, strategic partners, and end users.
- Strong strategic thinking with a clear, opinionated view on extensibility and platform growth.
- Background in SaaS, B2B, or platform companies, ideally in roles spanning both product and GTM.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative, low-ego approach with a bias for action and outcomes.
- Experience supporting partner co-marketing, integrations GTM, or developer enablement programs.
- Comfort working as an autonomous IC, leading laterally through influence.
Canva’s mission is to empower the world to design, and our ecosystem is how we make that mission exponential. By integrating with the tools people use every day — from productivity platforms to publishing channels — and enabling third-party developers and partners to build within Canva, we can deliver more value, deepen engagement, and unlock entirely new growth loops.
We’ve made incredible progress scaling our app ecosystem and partner integrations. But to truly maximise this opportunity, we need to operate with the same level of insight, strategy, and go-to-market excellence that we bring to our core product.
That’s why we’re hiring a Principal PMM to run Ecosystem product marketing. This IC role will drive the strategy and execution across our highest-priority apps and integrations — making sure we build the right ones, land them powerfully in-market, and unlock growth through strategic partnerships and developer enablement.
This is an outcome-critical, multiplier role: it ensures Canva becomes not just a product, but a platform — woven into the workflows of teams, enterprises, and creators around the world.
