Current remote positions are posted without a City and State and will require candidates to live in IL, MN, or WI.
We are currently searching for an Information Security Administrator to implement, manage, and enforce the credit unions information security policies and practices. Our goal is to ensure members and team members that any sensitive information or data is protected in all systems. This is a remote position, and this individual will work from a home office, ideally, in proximity with any one of our twelve branches.
Key Responsibilities
Install, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot security systems and solutions.
Provide security expertise in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.
Manage and enforce access controls, including MFA and user permissions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards while proactively identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to promote a secure and resilient technology environment.
Prepare documentation and evidence for the compliance reporting and third-party assessments.
Provide quarterly presentations to the security committee.
Develop and execute incident response protocols for identifying, containing, and eradicating security breaches.
Develop and conduct ongoing information security awareness training for employees and board/supervisory members.
Promote a culture of cybersecurity across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Three or more years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT security administration, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Financial services, credit union, or banking industry experience preferred.
CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certifications.
Excellent professional writing skills with the ability to draft reports, memos and other broadly distributed communications.
Ability to communicate technical information to a variety of stakeholder types, including the public, managers, vendors, and the executive team.
Intermediate to advanced skill level in Windows and Linux environments, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
Proficient in security tools; firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, endpoint security, and data loss prevention.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and cloud security.
Familiar with NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Schedule
Typical work schedule includes daytime hours, Monday-Friday, and one or more evenings each month

This is an exempt position
Starting pay range: $100,000 - $120,000 annual salary, pay commensurate with experience
