System One has an exciting System Admin opportunity with a partner in the Tulsa, OK area. The qualified candidate will possess at least 5 years of in-depth use of virtualization technologies in an on-premise setting.
Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. This position is not open to corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting arrangements.
Initial Responsibilities Server Maintenance: Execute procedures such as patching. Automation Configuration and Troubleshooting: Ansible, RedHat Satellite, Puppet Review Reports: Analyze vulnerability reports and access logs. Incident Management and Response Troubleshooting: RedHat Linux OS, Automation configuration Server Builds.
Must Haves Linux Administration: Experience with the RedHat ecosystem. Local Firewall Configuration: Using firewalld and iptables. Domain Integration: Experience with sssd and realmd. Network Configuration: Checking network settings, configuring DHCP and static IP. Package Management: Using yum/dnf. Logging: Familiarity with system log files, journalctl, log rotation and forwarding. Storage Management: Experience with LVM, local storage, SAN storage (multipath configuration), and file systems (XFS, ext4, NFS, CIFS). File Transfer: Using openssh (SFTP), rsync etc SELinux: Enabling, disabling, checking for denials, and configuring. Excellent customer service Support internal application and development teams. Automation/Configuration Management/Infrastructure as Code:

Scripting:
Shell scripting (bash) Python
Troubleshooting:
Authentication/authorization issues: Checking log files, local user accounts, and domain accounts. Permission issues. Storage issues. Performance issues. Networking issues: Familiarity with ping, nslookup/dig, nmap. netcat SELinux.
Nice to Have SSL Certificates:
Basics: Base64 encode certs, Java keystores (JKS, PKCS12). Checking certificates by URL and files: Using openssl, Java keytool.
VMware:
Logging into servers over VMware console. Extending resources: CPU, RAM, storage. Adding rescue boot ISO and booting server in rescue mode. Containers Docker/podman Kubernetes/OpenShift Operator installation and maintenance ArgoCD Helm
